MAKE MUSIC CHICAGO GOES VIRTUAL
We are so excited and grateful that you want to share your musical talents online! In this time of social distancing, music’s powerful role to bring us together as a community is more important than ever.
To keep with our desire to present live music, we ask all performers to livestream their concert using their favorite platform (Facebook Live, Instagram Live, Zoom, etc.). To get your livestream on the Make Music Chicago schedule, register as a performer and then “Create an event” to enter the URL for your livestream.
Once you have registered your virtual concert, give yourself some extra promotion by reaching out to venues registered in the system. They can heIp promote your concert through their social media channels and mailing lists. Or share resources by joining your musician friends in a virtual song sharing circle. Create a video conference where you and your friends take turns sharing songs. If you’re using Zoom, the video conference can be streamed to Facebook Live! Find help here.
You can also submit a 10-minute clip of your video for consideration in the Global Live-Stream. You can also explore joining other nationwide initiatives, like #MySongIsYourSong, Young Composers Competition, Window Serenades and Bash the Trash.
